this title means "Be patient and tough, some day this pain will be useful to you"
So far in my short lived teaching career I have formed a hypothesis about teenagers and how they like to learn... THE HARD WAY!
We were all teens once ourselves and probably felt like we knew it all, that we didn't need the olds telling us how do stuff.. does this sound familiar?
We eventually grew up and with age comes experience, good and bad, so we have a bit of wisdom to share with these young ones. Alas, we shake our heads in frustration and ask - WHY don't they listen? Sometimes we need to stroll down memory lane and ask ourselves - Why didn't I listen back then?
Hindsight is always 20/20!
Guess they have to work somethings out for themselves - it's just so hard not to be smug and say "I told you so!"
My modus operandi lately is that if they choose not to follow experienced advice ultimately it's their tough luck. Suck it up, cupcakes!
